Girls HerRising is a grassroots girls’ empowerment initiative dedicated to unblocking and eliminating all barriers preventing young girls and women in African communities from rising above preconceived destinies and circumstances, those of devotion and submission to patriarchal systems and functions, decided for them by society, to not only EXCEL but LEAD and DRIVE change in their communities.
Our Mission
Educate and empower young girls in Africa to break free from and rise above gender stereotypes and bias, to take the reins of leadership in their communities.
Our Vision
An Africa where each girl is educated, empowered and free to fully exercise her rights and thrive in communities liberated from gender bias and discrimination.
