Bridging Generations to Break Stigma and Advance Menstrual Justice
Menstrual barriers to education do not begin or end at school. Silence, stigma, and misinformation within families and communities often shape how girls experience menstruation, whether they receive support, and whether they are able to stay in school with confidence
The Intergenerational Period Dialogues create safe, guided spaces for open conversations between girls, parents, caregivers, and community leaders. These dialogues are facilitated and community-based, designed to be inclusive, respectful, and culturally grounded. They exist to break taboos around menstruation, strengthen communication within families, and build shared responsibility for girls’ dignity, wellbeing, and education.
A glimpse into how families are breaking silence and strengthening support for girls’ education.
We are the only organization in Cameroon dedicated exclusively to supporting internally displaced girls and young women affected by the Anglophone Crisis.
